Professional Experience
Dr Olayemi O. Dawodu is a Histopathologist who holds an M.B.B.S from the College of Medicine, University of Lagos, as well as fellowships in Pathology (Anatomic Pathology) and Laboratory medicine of the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria and West African College of Physicians respectively, which makes her eligible to practice in Nigeria and the West African region. She is an Alumna of SAID Business School, University of Oxford Executive Education.
Her career at Clina-Lancet Laboratories began in February 2015 as the country Histopathologist where she grew the number of requests and revenue in Nigeria, built the trust of fellow consultants and effectively managed the histopathology unit. In 2016, she was promoted to the position of Managing Director/ CEO and Pathologist incharge at Clina-Lancet Laboratories. She sits on the Board of Directors of Clina-Lancet Laboratories Nigeria.
She is passionate about contributing to the healthcare sector through dedicated delivery of excellent Pathology services and leadership. As an avid researcher, she has publications in local and international journals; and also reviews peer articles for the foremost National Postgraduate of Nigeria pathology journal and a lecturer in Anatomic Pathology at the College of Medicine, University of Lagos. She serves as a member of the Accreditation Advisory Committee for Nigerian National Accreditation System and works with a diverse population in the healthcare sector providing a global perceptive in the delivery of healthcare solutions both in clinical and administrative roles. She is a sitting member of the "Health as a Business" Committee of the Nigeria Economic Summit Group and also a member of the Institute of Directors of Nigeria. She is a WIMBIZ Mentor and one of the first 50 founding members of Gaia Africa, the first C-suite women-only business club in Africa. She is a member of the prestigious female-only Angel Investors club in Africa called "Rising Tide Africa" interested in promoting female entrepreneurs with seed investments.
